Season Greetings.
I pray this message finds you well. As we enter this time of year, we know that cold and flu season can bring challenges for families and schools. With that in mind, it's a good time to remind everyone to be extra vigilant about health and wellness. To help keep our community safe, we encourage all families to monitor their children for any signs of illness and to screen for common symptoms such as fever, cough, or fatigue. If your child is feeling unwell, it’s always best to keep them home and allow them the time they need to rest and recover. Please use this information as a guide for screening your child before sending him/her to school *If your child has any of the following symptoms, that indicates a possible illness that may decrease the students ability to learn and also put them at risk for spreading illness to others. Please check your child for these symptoms 1.Is your child's temperature 99 degrees or greater? (*A student’s temperature must be below 99.0 degrees Fahrenheit in order to attend in person learning) (Students must be fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medicine upon reentry to in person learning) 2. Is your child showing any of these symptoms? ● New onset of Cough ● Shortness of breath ● Difficulty breathing ● Chest tightness/pain ● Runny or stuffy nose ● Sore throat ● New onset of fatigue ● Weakness ● New onset of headaches ● Body aches/pain ● Diarrhea ● Nausea/Vomiting ● Chills ● Loss of taste or smell (*If yes to any of these symptoms, please keep them home and notify the School immediately) Remember, it is the parent's responsibility to screen your student for possible symptoms each morning before sending them to school. Please report any changes to your child's health to the School Nurse. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone.
